Job Overview


Technology Vehicle Drivers are responsible for driving a vehicle equipped with advanced mobile leak detection equipment (AMLD). Drivers will drive in the Metro Atlanta and surrounding areas. The company vehicle will be picked up from company facilities and returned to the same location after the shift. In this position, you can expect to drive nightly, typically in 8 hour shifts, on the 3rd shift (sundown-early AM). A CDL is not required.


Additionally, drivers will be cross trained in traditional gas leak survey. Training is approximately a week long (paid) and includes learning how to detect and classify natural gas leaks, walking 4 or more miles per day, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.  
 

Responsibilities & Skills 

●    Ability to sit and drive for 8 hours per day
●    Drive vehicles over various terrains and roadways through different weather conditions, in different traffic, and at variable traffic speeds to allow the equipment installed in the vehicle to collect data
●    Operate a motor vehicle during the night 
●    Perform minor maintenance and manual labor, which may include fueling the vehicle, checking the tire wear for damage and air pressure, checking battery conditions, taking the vehicle for routine maintenance and required service, and vehicle cleanliness
●    Use a computer to monitor data collection
●    Keep logs of vehicle usage and purchases
●    Ability to drive the vehicle safely for extended periods of time
●    Complete work in an efficient manner and meet all required completion dates
●    Comply with all safety and quality practices
●    Follow company guidelines in the employee manual
●    Keep lines of communication open with managers  

Requirements

●    High school diploma or equivalent 
●    Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license (No commercial license required)
●    DOT pre-employment and random drug screening required 
●    Must pass pre-employment background check
●    Clean driving record 
●    Proficient skills with technology including the function of a tablet
●    Understand maps and directions
●    Good knowledge of traffic safety laws and safe driving practices
●    Pass the driving course administered 
●    Must be responsible and dependable
